Ryan R. Nitsch is a writer, illustrator, and filmmaker based in Texas and Illinois. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Houston Baptist University with a BFA in Cinematic Arts. He is the founder and owner of Find Your Niche Productions, his personal company for live-action and animated film.
In 2014, Ryan illustrated the book “Welcome to College!: 101 Ways to Rock Your World” for authors Dayna Steele (television personality and keynote speaker) and Page Grossman.
Ryan’s senior project at college, the 20-minute 3 Days in the Fish, was nominated for Best Animated Film and Best Children’s Film at the 2017 Christian Worldview Film Festival in San Antonio, Texas. 3 Days was also nominated and screened at the 2017 CMA Media Conference CONTENT17 in Dallas, Texas.
From the Fall of 2016 to the Spring of 2017, Ryan was the videographer for Saint John XXIII High School in Katy, Texas, helping redesign their website and filming the school’s official presentation video that has been screened at Open House events. Ryan’s video of the school was also featured by the NCEA (National Catholic Educational Association) in March of 2017. A link to the video can be found here.
Ryan has been a production assistant and cameraman for River Pointe Church in Richmond, Texas, was interviewed and had his animation work shown on Peoria Public Television (WTVP), and created a segment for the Star Wars fan film The Empire Strikes Back Uncut: Director’s Cut (2014). He was also an extra for the Paramount film Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues in Atlanta, Georgia and 2 of his animations were showcased for a web series by Nickelodeon Cartoon Creator Butch Hartman in 2012.
When he’s not working on his latest creative project, Ryan enjoys going to the movies, playing video games, listening to music, and reading great works of literature. His influences include authors such as the poet Homer, John Milton, and Pinocchio creator Carlo Collodi, as well as artist Salvador Dalí and animation directors Chuck Jones and Tex Avery.
